Return & Refund Policy

Since all our portraits are custom-made to your specifications, we have a limited return policy. Please read carefully before placing your order.

1. Custom Nature of Products

All portraits at Portraitkart are handmade, custom artworks created specifically for you based on your photos and requirements. Due to the personalized nature of our products, we cannot accept returns for change of mind or personal preference.

2. Digital Proof Approval

To ensure your complete satisfaction, we send a digital proof before final production:

  • Review the proof carefully before giving approval
  • Request revisions if needed (up to 2 free revisions)
  • Once you approve the proof, the design is considered final
  • Returns are not accepted for issues visible in the approved proof

3. Eligible for Refund/Replacement

We will offer a refund or replacement if:

  • The portrait is damaged during shipping
  • There is a significant error not present in the approved proof
  • The portrait received differs substantially from the approved design
  • There are quality issues with the materials used

4. Not Eligible for Refund

  • Change of mind after proof approval
  • Minor variations that are inherent to handmade artwork
  • Issues arising from low-quality source photos
  • Color variations due to screen calibration differences
  • Damage caused after delivery due to mishandling

5. How to Request a Return

If you believe your order qualifies for a return:

  1. Contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order
  2. Email photos clearly showing the issue
  3. Include your order number and description of the problem
  4. Our team will review and respond within 2 business days

6. Refund Process

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days
  • Refunds will be credited to the original payment method
  • Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the error was ours
  • For replacements, we will ship at no additional cost

7. Cancellation Policy

  • Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours for a full refund
  • After 24 hours, if work has begun, a 50% cancellation fee applies
  • Orders cannot be cancelled after proof approval
